Stakeholder Days to Discover DIVINFOOD European Project and Living Lab in Roma (Italy), 19-20 June
During this two-day event in Rome on May 19–20, participants will have the opportunity to explore the latest developments of the DIVINFOOD project and engage directly with its innovative Living Labs across Europe.
The first day, held on a farm, will immerse attendees in the Italian Living Labs’ activities. Discussions will focus on local initiatives, collaboration with regional actors, and practical experiences such as field visits showcasing small plot trials and on-farm NUC (Neglected and Underutilized Crops) cultivation. Participants will also take part in product tastings and poster sessions, offering a concrete insight into the diversity of food innovations developed within the project. The day will conclude with open exchanges between farmers and stakeholders, highlighting best practices in agriculture, seed selection, and processing.
The second day, hosted at CREA, will shift toward analysis and future perspectives. Attendees will explore local markets and consumer behavior through a live study visit, followed by demonstrations of decision-support tools for farmers. Key project results will be presented and discussed, with stakeholders invited to contribute to prioritizing outcomes and identifying gaps for future improvements. Interactive workshops will address supply and demand challenges, as well as policy implications, ensuring that DIVINFOOD results can be effectively translated into practice and future strategies.
This event represents a valuable opportunity for stakeholders, researchers, farmers, and food system actors to come together, exchange knowledge, and contribute to the diversification of crops and the development of sustainable, innovative food systems.
